Mixed Media Participatory Installation: lighting gels, cotton, wood, questions, participants. Dimensions: 98"/+ variable x 180" x 12" (2014)
Created for Zspace Theatre, San Francisco for the show “I am, and you?”
Physically, Transparency was made in response to the site of the theatre and the large backlit window/wall in the lobby. The materials were also taken from the theatre- sand bags to weight the weaving, and lighting gels for participants to write on.
The questions focused on elements of the theatre which we see metaphorically in daily life: being "on stage", "supporting bakstage" or "audience".
Because the show was in the form of a conversation, participants were given the option of either answering one of the questions or responding to someone else's answer as if they finished with "and you?"
